Excelitas to Highlight X-Cite Fluorescence Illumination and PCO Camera Solutions at Neuroscience 2026
WHO: Excelitas®, a leading industrial technology company enabling precision instrumentation, sensing and controls, advanced automation and performance materials that deliver current and next-generation innovations that enrich lives, will showcase its wide range of X-Cite® fluorescence illumination and PCO® camera solutions at Neuroscience 2026.
WHAT: Product experts will exhibit the following solutions for scientific research applications at Excelitas Booth #1819:
- X-Cite TETREM™ 4-Channel LED Illumination System: X-Cite TETREM’s compact, cost-effective design is ideal for researchers performing live cell imaging or upgrading from a lamp-based system for routine applications. Engineered for simplicity, power and flexibility, it delivers reliable excitation for the most widely used fluorophores in microscopy and spatial biology. TETREM is equipped with the X-Cite smartDIAL™ controller, offering a modern, user-friendly and sleek interface for precise and intuitive manual control.
- X-Cite XYLIS™ II Broad Spectrum LED Illumination System: A true arc lamp replacement for routine and advanced fluorescence imaging applications, X-Cite XYLIS II offers several improvements over its predecessor. Enhancements include significantly quieter operation and increased optical output, with the broadest spectrum available in a white light LED for FISH and fluorescence microscopy applications. With brightness that rivals traditional arc lamps, XYLIS II delivers powerful illumination for compound and stereomicroscopes. The system incorporates Excelitas’ patented, award-winning LaserLED Hybrid Drive® technology to overcome the LED green gap from the 500 nm to 600 nm region of the spectrum, where LED-only systems are significantly challenged.
- pco.edge 9.4 bi CLHS sCMOS Camera: The pco.edge 9.4 bi CLHS Camera combines exceptional image quality, photon counting sensitivity and a large image circle to offer ultra-low readout noise, high resolution and excellent modulation transfer function (MTF). It is ideal for demanding microscopy, life science and physical science applications such as aperture correlation fluorescence microscopy (LSFM), structured illumination microscopy (SIM), confocal spinning disk microscopy and dual-image acquisition for spectral analysis, HDR imaging and polarization studies. The camera’s high-resolution 9.4 MPixel image sensor with a square pixel size of 4.6 μm results in an outstanding low readout noise of 0.3 e- and a large diagonal of 23 mm.
- pco.pixelfly 10 bi CLHS Camera: Featuring a 10.4 MP back-illuminated sCMOS sensor with up to 82% quantum efficiency, this camera is ideally suited for capturing weak fluorescence signals. Its large 23 mm field of view and 4.6 µm pixels help reveal fine neural structures across extended sample areas and its low-noise performance (1.2 e⁻) enables confident detection of subtle biological events. The compact, fan-cooled camera delivers up to 57 fps at full resolution through its high-speed CLHS interface supporting demanding live imaging experiments for modern neuroscience research.
