Easy-to-Install LED-Based UVC Disinfection System Effectively Reduces Airborne Viral Load in Indoor Environments

The new device prevents disease transmission by neutralizing airborne pathogens including bacteria, mold and viruses (e.g., influenza, SARS-COV-19) without ozone emission. Kepri is available now for use in indoor spaces including medical, dental and veterinary facilities to support the highest levels of staff and patient safety.
Kepri meets a stringent UL-8802 standard to minimize UVC energy in the lower part of the room and assure safe operation. The upper-air disinfection system is compact and lightweight, easy to install and quiet. Weighing only 2.5 kg, Kepri’s unobtrusive, low-profile design fits in with office aesthetics. It also features a user-friendly interface, limited maintenance and delivers maximum UVC emission without a visible blue glow. Replaceable LED modules increase Kepri’s installed service life.
According to third-party Efficacy Test Reports conducted by Intertek, Kepri reduces indoor, airborne viral load by 99.9% in as little as 20 minutes. As pathogens pass through Kepri’s active UVC disinfection zone, the UVC light damages the DNA/RNA, preventing them from replicating and inactivating their ability to spread and infect.
Safety is critical in UVC disinfection, and Kepri sets the industry standard with a triple sensor safety monitoring system featuring:
- Tilt Sensor: turns off the Kepri disinfection unit in the event the unit falls below zero degrees on the horizon ensuring no harmful UVC energy is emitted into the lower part of the room.
- Presence Sensor: detects people entering the UVC emission field and immediately turns off UVC energy until the field is clear.
- Motion-Activated Occupancy Sensor and Switch: detects movement in a room and allows the user to select their individual operating preference using a three position switch. The three modes are always on, only on when the room is occupied and only on when the room is unoccupied.
