Excelitas VTE Series Infrared Emitting Diodes
PART/ VTE3375LA

VTE3375LA - T-1 (3mm) Plastic Package Lensed, 3mW, Beam angle of ±12.5°

The VTE3375LA is a 880 nm GaAlAs Infrared Emitting Diode (IRED) mounted in a long T-1 (3mm diameter) lensed plastic package. With a narrow beam angle of ±12.5°, this IRED is suitable for smoke detection, IR illumination and optical switching applications.

This 880 nm GaAlAs can be operated in DC mode or in pulsed mode. Pulsed mode is used when a higher optical output power is required for certain applications.

Features and benefits:

  • Narrow optical emission bandwidth
  • Approved for smoke detection applications under UL file S3506
  • RoHs compliant

Applications:

  • Smoke detection
  • IR illumination
  • Optical Switching
  • Consumer coin readers
  • Lottery card readers
  • Position sensors
  • Encoders
  • Printers and copiers
